LION DEN

ELskan FLY

ELskan FLY is a country-folk and Americana artist whose music is shaped by wide-open landscapes, hard truths and lived experience. Born in Manitoba’s Interlake region, surrounded by what she calls the “prairie seas,” and now based in New Zealand, her songwriting blends acoustic warmth with an unfiltered honesty and quiet resilience.

After relocating to New Zealand, ELskan spent years immersed in rural life, working on farms and developing an even deeper connection to the land. These experiences, together with her Canadian roots, continue to influence songs centred on love, breaking points, strength and the courage to change direction.

An award-winning songwriter, ELskan has earned recognition for songs including “Hard Grass Life,” “Keep On Drinkin’” and instrumental track “The River.” In 2025, “Lion Den” and “Gloria” were selected as semi-finalists in the International Songwriting Competition.

Her new single, “Lion Den,” released August 5, 2026, is the title track from her forthcoming album. Written and performed by ELskan FLY, the track was produced and arranged by Liam Kennedy-Clark, with Josh Schuberth on drums and Shannon Guitreau-Barton on banjo. Mixed by Thomas O’Connor and mastered by Chris Chetland, “Lion Den” showcases ELskan FLY at her most honest, grounded and fearless.

Mountain Rio

Mountain Rio is the sonic bridge between the heart of British songwriting and the soul of Nashville’s elite music scene. Guided by the pen of veteran UK songwriter Frank Robinson, the project has spent nearly two decades weaving a rich tapestry of country, festive cheer, and independent spirit.

Since their self-titled debut in 2008, Mountain Rio has cultivated a dedicated global following. Their sound was forged in the legendary studios of Nashville, brought to life by premier producer Stacy Hogan and the commanding vocals of Mike Lusk. This long-standing collaboration has produced a string of hits that have dominated independent and community radio stations worldwide.

The Mountain Rio journey is marked by an eclectic and prolific discography. From the infectious energy of Rockabilly Christmas—which graced the airwaves of over 40 top country stations—to the sun-drenched vibes of Sun Tanned Bikini Girls and the otherworldly intrigue of Twenty Seven Miles From Roswell, the music refuses to be pinned down. In 2025, the project expanded its horizons with the Christmas Hoedown album, introducing new textures through producer Daniel M and a fresh collective of session musicians, while continuing the beloved Hogan-Lusk legacy.

The accolades speak for themselves: consistent #1 rankings on the Air Play Direct charts and a persistent presence on world independent charts. Whether it’s the high-energy pulse of Zydeco and Cajun dancing or the nostalgic elegance of a Christmas ballroom, Mountain Rio continues to evolve.

Looking ahead, the horizon is bright with upcoming releases: the atmospheric and progressive rock In Search Of The Mystic (August 2026), the festive Let’s Dance Like Ginger And Fred At Christmas (September 2026), and the vibrant Happy Mariachi Christmas (October 2028).

Mountain Rio isn't just a band; it's a transatlantic celebration of rhythm, melody, and the enduring power of a well-told story.

In Search Of The Mystic is a 9-track concept album mapping a cinematic journey through time and space. Written entirely by veteran UK songwriter Frank Robinson, the record weaves a cosmic narrative heavily inspired by the avant-garde genius of Pink Floyd’s Syd Barrett. Barrett serves as a guiding spirit throughout the record, explicitly referenced as part of the cosmic search. The music seamlessly bridges classic Floydian atmosphere with sharp, modern melodic pop hooks.

ONE HORSE TOWN

Greg Bray

Greg Bray is a Queensland singer-songwriter, writer and self-described recovering tradie whose music is shaped by a lifetime of stories, humour and experience. Raised in Gladstone after moving from Innisfail at the age of ten, Greg spent years working as a fitter and turner before building a varied career across factories, hospitals, journalism, cemetery management and community support.

For more than a decade, he entertained readers with a humorous column in the Gladstone Observer, and he continues to write and share observations through his blog. Music, however, has always remained close to his heart. After years of singing and playing guitar for family, friends and anyone gathered around a fire, encouragement from his wife Donella led Greg into the recording studio with a collection of original songs.

His latest single, “One Horse Town,” is a warm and reflective song about reaching a stage in life where family, friendship and community matter more than hurry and ambition. With its longing for simpler times, a slower pace and a place to belong, the song will resonate with listeners dreaming of a quieter chapter.

Greg continues to write, perform, record and entertain, proudly sharing life, laughter and music with audiences of every generation.

There is grit in the voice of Allyson Galloway. It’s a grit that seems to
indicate that the wife and mother of Two has seen far too much in her life
thus far, a grit that seems to stem from a pain that remains in her tender heart,
a grit that finds its way into every note she sings and every lyric she
writes. It’s also her grit that makes her beautiful.

Born on the wrong side of Memphis, Galloway was the 1st child of a
woman addicted to drugs and a father that was never around.
When he was, he held in his hand a Dasani water bottle to replace the
beer that he was, used too.  Technically, she was to attend the Catholic
school situated just under a half of a mile from her home. But each day,
she would instead find herself curled up on the floor of the walk-in closet
she called her bedroom. “It was a mess, all of it.”

When she was seven years old, Galloway’s grandparents took her in.
Soon, Galloway was attending school and making friends, but just as her
young self-began to feel as if she was finally turning the corner, the speaker
located in her classroom said she needed to come down to the office.
It was there that the then nine-year-old found out her father was dead. She
didn’t cry at the news, because her grandparents were all she had known.
She didn’t cry when she was forced to tell her mom after school.

“I watched her act like her whole world had crumbled, but never once did she ask if I
was okay.”

How could she take care of these kids when she was barely taking care of me? With 2 siblings to
consider. She was not prepared at such a young age. Through the years, arguments grew, and she was
overwhelmed with responsibility. She was once again failing school due to absences and so were her
sisters. She got her first boyfriend at the age of 15, and for the first time, Galloway felt as if she had found
someone who could protect her from the craziness. But he too came from chaos in his own home but soon
they parted ways too.  Galloway found herself in the arms of the man who would ultimately be her
husband today. They fell in love within weeks of meeting and became best friends. They became
increasingly close in the next few months and before they knew it, they were expecting a baby boy.  “He
was born into the storm, but he became the rainbow.”

Allyson’s Mom was on food stamps, with the first of the month spent gorging on food and at the
end of the month scraping ice out of the freezer. Galloway knew she could not raise her child in that
environment. She immediately moved in with her now husband, after the child was born. Galloway
graduated from high school at the age of 17 just a few short months after her son was born. Galloway got
a job waiting tables at a local restaurant, but her twenties were her years to rebel following a far too cruel
life. She then went to college for nursing and science, but her little girl was on the way, and she could not
wait. She dropped out with a few classes to go unfortunately. She was lost on what to do next, so she was
a stay-at-home mom for a couple of years before continuing her career at AT&T. She spent 4 years on
Customer service and sales before she decided to do music full-time.

Newest country rock single entitled POISON AND DESIRE hit No. 1 this week on the World Indie Music Chart list and is No. 2 on the Euro Indie Music chart list also. Check-out my video at
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lZYsYmQfyrg

Song description:
An upbeat, hard driving country rock song that describes a young man who is infatuated with a hot brown eyed, raven haired, long-legged European beauty and model that he has been dating. His love for her becomes a toxic obsession that is turning into both a poison and desire. He goes for a walk on a desert road to try to clear his mind. Nonetheless, he can't sleep and she is constantly on his mind. Even drinking a bottle of tequila doesn't help him. He wants to be with her day and night and desires to hold her, kiss her sweet red lips and make love to her until the break of dawn.

Dr. Wally Bartfay is a retired Professor and former Associate Dean (Aug. 2024) for the Faculty of
Health Sciences at Ontario Tech University in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada. He also served as
Director for various undergraduate programs including BHSc, BAH, BHAdmin. Programs. He
will be retiring from academia in August of 2024. He is also affectionately known as the “Rock N’
Prof” by his students because he often plays original songs that he has written prior to the
commence of lectures to create certain vibes and buzzes in his classes. His music has
appeared on Euro Indie Network Music Chart lists top 1 and 3; World Indie Music Chart lists top
1 and 2; BWNR music list top 5, and the US Top 20 Show- Weekly Pulse of Music at No.18.

Wally has also done research related to the benefits of music therapy as a nonpharmacological
intervention with patients with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. He got
interested in researching the clinical benefits of music as medicine after his father was
diagnosed with vascular dementia following a series of strokes that left him bed bound in a
nursing home. Ironically, this is the same nursing home that he used to put on volunteer
Christmas concerts for during his youth in his community. He is passionate about song writing
and his songs often reflect personal experiences and challenges that he has faced over the
years. Each song contains components of his genuine lived experiences, heart, and soul as an
artist.
