Marlyndai feat. Tommy G.

https://soundcloud.com/user-844045795
Marlyndai's childhood was centered around church because her father was a minister. She learned to sing Gospel Songs so well she became the church's Choir Director.

Her mother, an Elementary School Music Teacher, introduced her to each Genre of Music.

After years performing with the band Euphony she decided to branch out on her own. Marlyndai is that soulful voice from Glenwood by way of South Holland straight outta Illinois.

Daina Shukis

http://www.prweb.com/releases/2015/12/prweb13128443.htm

Daina Shukis captures the core message in each song she approaches with an inimitable style all her own. Having influences that span from Jazz, rock, funk, and country, Shukis brings her originality to the forefront. ”Daina and the Tribe" has been the signature band that she has performed with for years back in the New York City area in such notable clubs like the Bottom Line (opening for James Cotton), The Lone Star (opening for Jaco Pastorious) and CBGB's.

For the past few years, Daina has combed through the maze of some of her best performances and has created a vintage catalog that will live throughout the ages. “The one thing that I remember most about my performances with the Tribe was how the audiences would participate in our performances, with accents of chants and musical praise,” says Shukis. On her recently released the album “Smooth and Jazzy”, which is comprised of her favorites songs, she chose to remix the tune “Movie Show’ as her latest single from the compilation giving it a modern slant on today’s music scene, creating a new audience that appreciates the blending of these musical styles.

“I am delighted to bring you this album with many cuts from the beginning of the new wave pop art culture in New York City in such a top-grade audio recording. I look forward to performing these songs and new material in the near future with great anticipation. It is an exciting time for me to launch a comeback with old friends and new musical ideas. The older jazz and blues singers still out there on the road are a great inspiration. Wish me luck! says Daina.

More recently, Shukis has incorporated a few songs embracing our American roots with a Patsy Cline tribute into her set, where she shares how Patsy influenced her vocal style by performing originals on guitar and piano at the end of every set. To date, she has produced five albums from her vintage catalog, one instrumental album, "Mystic Rendezvous" with Daina and the Tribe, on which Daina plays impressionist compositions on synthesizer.

Her latest addition to her catalog is a sure-fire compilation that will not only capsulate her eclectic mix of sound but a vintage musical history that stands the test of time. “Smooth and Jazzy” has been picked to be in rotation on her radio station on Pandora and she is ranked #1 in Jazz on Reverberation in Port Richey, Florida.

“Daina is a very unique spirit, known for her love of cultural flare in her writing and performances derived from the Middle East, Greek, Turkish and Arabic music. In her vintage videos, you can clearly see how she skillfully executes her choreographic pieces when she took the stage with a serious intention toward excellence in her craft, not only in dance but visually through her authentic costumes that ranged from tribal art painted on her body to classic rock looks. Her vocals stem from a bluesy, rock feel with jazz flavorings and tribal chants, her performance puts you in a trance that takes you on her eclectic improvisational journey of song and percussive presentation” says Jaijai Jackson of The Jazz Network Worldwide.
At this stage in Shukis’s career, having so much performance memories in her musical arsenal, she is now presenting a “looking back” journey, story-telling of her many escapades through her New York days with some of the best musicians on the planet.

From the likes of Jeremy Steig, Don Alias, Eddie Gomez, Ray Mantilla, Jimmy Madison, Jerome Harris, Paul Ramsey, Dan Wall, Tom Coppola, Judy Niemack, Marvin Horne, Greg Carter, Butch Campell, Lee Finklestein and Bill Washer who are all performing with her on new release “Smooth and Jazzy”.

She brings a fervor of heart to her upcoming performance schedule and offering musical memories that only she can tell. This choice of performance once again allows for the new audience to find themselves in her music and to walk away with an impression that will be a memory etched by musical history.

Looking to bring her musical story-telling to worldwide stages, big and small, from intimate to large venues with her musical potpourri will be sure to please the most eclectic of musical tastes from jazz to rock, funk, country and beyond.

Adam's Attic's Releases New Storyline Single "Sorry"

Los Angeles, CA - The Southern California based pop/rock band, Adam's Attic, will release their new storyline single "Sorry" on July 27.  The band teased with announcements about the lead actor and love interest in the "Sorry" music video in early June.

Commenting on the single, Joe Henry, Adam's Attic's lead vocalist and chief songwriter, said, "A guy comes to realize that having a fight in a relationship doesn't mean it's over.  Maybe, he was angry.  Maybe, he said and did some things that he shouldn't have.  Maybe, he just needed a time out to realize that this is the one person who really knows and loves him unconditionally.  Maybe, he just needed to lay down his arms to hear and say the words, 'I'm sorry.'"

In the fall of 2016, a mutual friend introduced the band and Derek Olds.  The band members hit it off instantly with Olds, a Los Angeles based producer, engineer and songwriter.   Within weeks, a team was assembled to begin recording "Sorry" and several other tracks at 4th Street Recording in Santa Monica.  The single was produced by Adam's Attic and Derek Olds, engineered by Ruben Valle, and written by Adam's Attic and Thomas Barsoe.

Olds recalled, "When my manager first approached me about working with Adam's Attic and I heard the songs, my first thought was, 'I hope these guys are as honest and full of integrity in real life as their music is.'  I can truly say after spending a good deal of time with them and their art, it all lines up in a perfect package!"

"Sorry" is just the first installment in the series of singles to be released.  Four other singles are in the works to follow.  Since their last album, "Can Anybody Hear Me" (2014), the Adam's Attic songwriters have been consistently writing every week with their longtime friend and producer, Thomas Barsoe.  The latter is most notably known for hitting the top of the 2005 music charts as a R&B, pop singer/songwriter and more recently known as the founder and executive producer of OC Hit Factory.

The single will be available at all major digital retailers including iTunes and Amazon Music.

About Adam's Attic: Adam's Attic is an internationally touring pop/rock band originally hailing from New Orleans, LA, and now residing and making music in Orange County, CA.  Adam's Attic consists of Joe Henry, Derek Henry on bass guitar and backing vocals, Scott Boaz on drums, and Frank DeSalvo on lead guitar.

Brought together by a passion for music and unity in the face of adversity, Adam’s Attic inspires listeners with an honest and open sound.  From their New Orleans roots to their current home of Los Angeles, the alternative, pop/rock band has matured musically and captivated audiences on a global scale.  The band of brothers have completed five international tours.

“While here (New Orleans), the band proved itself to be one of the rising stars on the scene,” remarked Todd Miller, Talent Buyer for House of Blues.

In August 2005, one of the five deadliest hurricanes in U.S. history struck the north-central Gulf Coast region destroying much of their home in New Orleans.  Through the devastation, Adam’s Attic was forced out of its comfort zone and responded by bonding together and stepping out on a limb.  Joe Henry, Adam’s Attic front man, said, “Some of us lost everything we had, with the exception of our music gear and some personal items; all of the venues we played were closed or out of business.  Only a week before Katrina, we were given the most amazing opportunity to open for Lifehouse at House of Blues New Orleans.  We had to act.”

Leaving behind everything they had built in the hopes of recreating past successes, the musicians moved across the country and settled in California.  Adam’s Attic had nothing but their gear and souls brimming with emotions.

Relying on each other, they rose to the challenge continually producing positive and inspirational music for fans.  The music is written about the experiences of real life.  Although we all have struggles, the hard times are merely a trial by fire; perseverance through adversity creates the opportunities for success.

Becoming the first runner up in the KTLA (Los Angeles) Battle of the Bands competition with 955 votes only slightly short of the winning bands 959 votes catapulted Adam’s Attic.  The band performed live on the KTLA Morning News for a televised viewership of 3 million plus.  With the momentum gained from the KTLA competition, Adam’s Attic was propelled forward with performances and opportunities like Universal City Walk, United Way’s Walk United at Angel Stadium, Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel, CBS Television, Disney’s Tap Tap Revenge Tour, Yahoo! Music, Reverbnation, etc.  Since then, Adam’s Attic made a second, third, and fourth appearance on KTLA Morning News.

Through hard work and personal sacrifice, the independent band knows the meaning of developing a solid marketing strategy and building a strong foundation.  The group has seized one success after another by headlining numerous sold out shows at the House of Blues and Hard Rock Cafe, touring five continents, playing for crowds exceeding 11,000, receiving sponsorships in excess of $200,000, and penning at least seventy original songs registered with BMI.  With the accumulation of small successes that led to becoming darlings of New Orleans, Adam’s Attic is a rising star in the world market.

This band has proven that it has the elements necessary to make great music, draw large crowds, and entertain fans.  Listeners will get an audible experience of what it is like to tour the globe through the lives of the band.

Adam’s Attic is seeking: Label Deal, Publishing Deal, Licensing, Film/TV Song Placement, Booking, Festival and College Booking, and Exposure.

First, there’s the voice. Devoid of affectation or theatrics, it’s a delightful instrument, one wielded with true subtlety. Technically a dramatic mezzo, it moves with graceful ease from slightly husky sensuality to bluesy boisterousness conveying, at turns, sweet romanticism and gently aching melancholy. Its purity of tone matched by impeccable phrasing, this is a voice to be reckoned with.

Then there are the songs. On Arms Full of Roses Hayle covers pop classics “Look of Love” and “Can’t Take My Eyes off You”, but it was her own compositions, evocative of Gershwin and Cole Porter, that truly captured the imagination.
