OLD HEART

Sisters In Country

Sisters in Country offers a captivating glimpse into their upcoming album with the release of ‘Old Heart,’ a stunningly simple acoustic arrangement penned by Jodi Vaughan and Aly Cook. With its heartfelt honesty and stripped-back instrumentation, the song embodies Sisters in Country’s ability to let emotion lead and music breathe, creating an intimate connection that stays long after the final note fades.

‘Old Heart’ is a tribute to the enduring heart within us all — the one loyal constant, a lifelong companion through the wild ride of highs and lows, joy and sorrow, love and loss, triumph and heartbreak. The song explores the beautiful duality of the human heart: the vital life force that sustains us physically and the metaphorical wellspring of emotion that defines our inner world. As we age, we become increasingly aware of its immeasurable value, its resilience, and its irreplaceable presence. No matter the miles travelled, the lessons learned, or the years collected, the heart remains the keeper of memory, grief, hope, and laughter.

Sisters in Country deliver this message with refreshing simplicity — reminding listeners that we are not our missteps, our age, or the stories that tried to break us. We are instead the sum of everything we feel, everything we love, and everything we survive. We are the courage in the beat, the wisdom in the cracks, the softness in the longing, and the power in still caring.

We are, unapologetically, all feeling, all strength, and all human.

And Sisters in Country say it best: We are, quite simply, all heart!

Because at the core of every story, every chapter, and every scar, the truth remains — we are all heart, and always have been.

WILD COLONIAL BOYS

Brendan McMahon

On the first day of November, 1830 — 195 years ago — a defining moment in Australia’s early colonial history took place at Bringelly, New South Wales. John O'Donohoe, also known in folklore as Jack Doolan, met his fate when he was shot down by a soldier named John Muckleston. O'Donohoe was one of the most notorious figures among the band of bushrangers later immortalised as The Wild Colonial Boys.

These men, often convicts or settlers driven by hardship, became legends of the Australian bush. Their daring raids, defiance of authority, and repeated escapes from capture made them both feared and admired. To some, they were dangerous outlaws; to others, they were rebels symbolising resistance against oppression and injustice in the harsh conditions of early colonial life.

Brendan McMahon has reimagined the legend with his new song “Wild Colonial Boys,” breathing fresh life into this enduring Australian tale. Through powerful lyrics and evocative storytelling, the song captures the spirit of the early bushrangers — their courage, desperation, and unyielding will to live free. McMahon’s interpretation bridges past and present, allowing modern audiences to reconnect with a story that has shaped the nation’s identity and folklore for generations.

Today, nearly two centuries later, the name John O'Donohoe still echoes through Australian history — a reminder of a rugged past, the struggles of early settlers, and the enduring allure of those who dared to challenge authority in pursuit of freedom.

Kelli Grant the Queen of Swing
releases her 15th album on Silverfalls Records,
is now on 150 major music outlets around the world:
Amazon, Spotify, Pandora, ITunes, Deezer, etc…

“I Don’t Give A …” (G rated) Although a somewhat provocative title, the first song of the story line is an innocent story that stops with “A ..”. It is simply a declaration of independence in a fun upbeat tempo song that clearly states,
“I’ve got to be FREE!”.
16 original songs written in a BLUES format whether R&B, Pop, Swing, Ballad including a very unique Blues Waltz, carry the listener on a crusade in the pursuit of love and happiness.

Kelli is a licensed BMI songwriter receiving a Billboard Songwriters HONORABLE MENTION for her R&B original, “The Way Love Use to Be” included. However, this is a first for the award-winning Singer, an entire album focusing on her creative talent as a songwriter. Kelli also penned, “Don’t Mess with Texas” and was the first artist placed under contract with the Texas Department of Transportation allowing her the use of their logo for marketing.

The music graduate is heard on many instruments; organ, drums, horns, strings but her forte is piano coupled with an unsurpassed left hand bass line. Kelli writes, “Somewhere In Chicago” in a tongue in cheek Frankie & Johnny scenario. Her husband’s name was Johnny but I assure you she did not kill him.

This musical journey of life is a pilgrimage mastered through profound lyrics and climatic musical crescendos with one song reflecting that revelation more succinctly, "South Side of Life". The album ends with a song that is actually the beginning pledging undying love, ‘If You Were the One”.

Kelli Grant, the Queen of Swing™ career began on Warner Bros. German affiliate, Eagle Records which topped Belgium charts at #4.
